Pastor Otto A. Duessel

Pastor Otto A. Duessel served Immanuel from 1895 to 1925. He was Born in the village of Emerhausen in Bavaria, Germany,and was orphaned at a very early age. He came to the United States at the age of 16 and lived with relatives in New Britain, Connecticut. He worked during the week in a factory. After his graduation from Concordia Seminary in Springfield, Illinois, he accepted the call to Immanuel. He led the reorganization of the congregation after the dismissal of Pastor Brend.
